Overview

Many template sections pull data from your profile, team (department), or company. The data source controls whose information appears. For example, you can show the team's shared email instead of the profile's, or use the company logo in the header.

Who sees data source options: Individual users only see User (profile). Company and team users see User, Team (department), and Company (organization).

Data Source Types

| Source | Description | When to use |

| User | The profile owner's data (name, photo, contact, links) | Personal contact details, profile photo |

| Team | The profile's assigned team's shared data | Team logo, team email, department name |

| Company | The company's data | Company logo, company contact, branding |

Important: Team data only appears when the profile is assigned to a team. See Teams and Companies for profile assignment.

Sections with Data Sources

Header (images only)

The Header section has separate data sources for the hero image and the avatar:

  • Hero image source — User, Team, or Company. Chooses the background/banner image.
  • Avatar image source — User, Team, or Company. Chooses the circular/rectangular photo overlay.

Examples:

  • User hero + User avatar — Personal photo and banner
  • Company hero + User avatar — Company banner with your photo
  • Team hero + Team avatar — Team branding throughout

Contact Details

Each contact field has its own data source:

  • Work email, work phone, work website — User, Team, or Company
  • Personal email, mobile, personal website — User or static (no team/company)
  • Address — User, Team, or Company

You can mix: e.g. work email from User, work phone from Team, address from Company.

Static — Enter fixed text instead of profile data. Useful for "Call our office" with a shared number.

Social Media Links

One data source for the whole section: User, Team, or Company. Shows that entity's social and website links.

Profile Info

No data source selector. Automatically uses:

  • Name, job title, headline — from User
  • Department — from the profile's assigned team
  • Company — from the company

In the Header section, use the Properties panel to set Hero image source and Avatar image source to User, Team, or Company.

Single Image and Image Row sections do not have data sources — you upload or paste a URL. For dynamic images (profile/team/company), use the Header section or Custom HTML with placeholders.
