Help Center › Template Sections Reference

Overview

The Template Visual Builder uses sections: blocks you add, arrange, and configure. Each section has a purpose and configurable options. This reference lists all available sections and what they do.

Dynamic Sections

These sections pull data from your profile, team, or company. When a section uses Team (or Department) as the data source, it shows the shared details of the profile's assigned team — for example, the team logo, team contact email, or department name. Profiles must be assigned to a team for team data to appear. See Teams and Companies for how to assign profiles to teams.

Header

Hero area with background image and profile photo overlay. Choose display mode: image only, name only, or both.

Image sources (data sources): Hero image and avatar can each use User, Team, or Company. Set in the Properties panel. Use team or company for shared branding (e.g. team logo, company banner).

Profile Info

Shows name, job title, department, company, and headline. Each field can be toggled on or off. Styling: font size, weight, alignment, padding. Data comes from your profile automatically.

Contact Details

Individual contact fields: work email, personal email, mobile, work phone, work website, personal website, address. Each field can use a data source (user, team, or company) and a custom label. Choosing team shows the profile's assigned team's shared contact (e.g. team email or phone). Display styles: plain text, buttons, or icon-only.

Social Media Links

Your social and website links. Data source: user, team, or company. Display styles: plain list, buttons, or icon-only. Options: icon shape (circle, square), icon size, spacing, colours.

Call to Action (CTA)

"Add to Contacts" button that downloads the profile vCard. Customise title, subtitle, and button text. The action is always vCard download.

Static Sections

These sections use content you enter, not profile data.

Text

Custom text block. Full styling: font size, weight, alignment, line height, padding, margin, border, shadow. Use for bios, announcements, or custom copy.

Button

A button that links to a URL or triggers a document download. Options: button text, URL, open in new tab, style (filled, outline), size, alignment, icon.

Divider

Horizontal line between sections. Adjust thickness and colour.

Single Image

One image with optional caption. Upload or paste URL. No data source — static only. For dynamic images (profile/team/company), use the Header section or Custom HTML with placeholders. Options: width, alignment, aspect ratio, border, shadow, caption styling.

Image Row

Two images side by side. Good for before/after or portfolio samples. Options: image widths, gap, alignment, aspect ratio, border, caption.

Video

Embed a video from YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, or a direct URL. Options: aspect ratio, autoplay, controls, loop, muted, caption.

Custom HTML

Advanced: add your own HTML and CSS. Can use dynamic data binding with placeholders. Option for full-width layout.
