Help Center › QR Code Factory

Generate hundreds of uniquely styled QR codes in a single operation. The QR Code Factory applies your saved QR template to a list of URLs and downloads them all as a ZIP file — ready for print or digital use.

Key benefits

  • Batch generation — create QR codes for an entire team or product catalogue in one operation instead of one at a time
  • Consistent branding — your saved QR template (colours, dot style, logo) is applied to every code automatically
  • Flexible output — download as PNG, SVG, JPEG, or a config file (JSON) depending on your use case
  • Immediate ZIP download — all generated files are bundled into a single download

Who it's for

Company admins preparing cards or materials for a team, event organisers needing a QR code per attendee, and anyone who needs more than a handful of QR codes at once.

How to access

  • Go to Portal → QR Templates
  • Click the Factory or Bulk Generate tab (or look for "QR Factory" in the Tools menu)
  • How to generate a batch of QR codes

  • Load your QR template — your saved styles appear in the style selector; choose the one to apply to all codes in this batch
  • Enter your URLs — paste one URL per line in the bulk URL input box; each line will become one QR code
  • Choose an output format:
  • | Format | Best for |

    |--------|---------|

    | PNG | Digital use, email, websites |

    | SVG | Print and design — stays sharp at any size |

    | JPEG | Smaller file size for web; no transparency |

    | Config (JSON) | Exporting settings for programmatic use |

  • Click Generate — the tool creates one QR code per URL using your template settings
  • Click Download ZIP — all files download in a single ZIP archive, named by URL or sequence number
  • Using the output

    • Business cards — extract individual files from the ZIP and insert into your card template (e.g. the Business Card Designer or print design software)
    • Team rollout — distribute the ZIP to a printing company with a bulk print job
    • Event registration — pair one QR code with each attendee's profile URL on their badge or lanyard
    • Print materials — use SVG files for the sharpest quality at any size

    Tips

    • Double-check your URL list before generating — each URL must be complete (including https://)
    • For team cards: the easiest source of URLs is exporting profile links from the portal admin view
    • Use the single QR designer to preview and tweak your template before running a batch
    • If your QR codes will be printed small (under 25 mm), increase error correction to H in your template settings for better scan reliability

    Frequently asked questions

How many URLs can I generate at once?

There is no hard limit displayed in the UI. For very large batches (500+), allow a minute or two for generation. [NEEDS VERIFICATION: exact limit if any]

Can each code in the batch have a different style?

No — the QR Factory applies one saved template to all codes in a batch. For different styles per code, use the single QR designer.

What are the files named in the ZIP?

Files are named sequentially (e.g. qr_001.png, qr_002.png) or based on the URL slug. [NEEDS VERIFICATION: exact naming convention]

Can I generate QR codes that link to things other than NFC Tagify profiles?

Yes. Any valid URL can be used — the Factory simply encodes the URL you provide. You could use it for product pages, landing pages, or any other destination.

Is there a cost to use the QR Factory?

The QR Code Factory is included in all NFC Tagify plans at no extra charge.
