Overview

The leads system in the NFC Tagify portal lets you capture, view, and manage people who have expressed interest in you or your business — whether they tapped your card, submitted a contact form on your profile, or were added manually. This page explains how leads are created, where to find them, and what you can do with them.

---

What is a "lead" in NFC Tagify?

In the NFC Tagify portal, a lead is a person whose contact details have been captured against your profile. This can happen in several ways:

  • They filled in the contact form on your public profile page
  • They submitted a "Let's Connect" or lead capture form on your profile (depending on how your profile is configured)
  • You added them manually in the portal
  • They were imported from a CSV file

A lead is associated with a specific profile. If your company has multiple profiles (one per team member), each profile has its own separate leads list.

[NEEDS VERIFICATION: whether leads captured from a profile tap (without a form submission) are also recorded — e.g. anonymous tap events vs named leads]

How leads are captured

Via the public profile contact form

Your public profile page can include a contact or lead capture form. When a visitor fills in their name, email, or phone number and submits the form, they are added to your leads list automatically.

The form is visible on your profile to anyone who visits — whether they tapped your NFC card, scanned your QR code, or clicked your profile link.

Manually adding a lead

You can add leads one at a time directly in the portal:

  • Go to Leads in the portal navigation
  • Click Add Lead (or similar)
  • Enter the person's details — name, email, phone number, and any notes
  • Save

    Importing via CSV

If you have existing contacts you want to bring into the leads system, you can import them from a spreadsheet.

  • Go to Leads in the portal
  • Click Import (or Import CSV)
  • Download the sample CSV file to see the required column format
  • Fill in your contacts using that format
  • Upload the file
  • [NEEDS VERIFICATION: which fields are required in the CSV, whether there is a row limit, and whether duplicates are detected automatically]

    Viewing your leads

The leads list in the portal shows all leads associated with your profile. Each entry typically includes:

    • Name — first and last name
    • Email address
    • Phone number
    • Source — how the lead was captured (form submission, manual, CSV import)
    • Date added
    • Notes (if any were recorded)

You can sort and filter the list to find specific leads or see leads from a particular date range or source.

[NEEDS VERIFICATION: whether search, sort, and filter are available in the current portal leads view]

    Managing leads

    Exporting leads

You can export your leads list to a CSV file at any time. This is useful for backing up your data, sharing it with a CRM system, or analysing it in a spreadsheet.

  • Go to Leads in the portal
  • Click Export or Export CSV
  • The file downloads to your device with all current lead data
  • [NEEDS VERIFICATION: exact export button label and whether the export includes all fields or a subset]

    Editing a lead

Click on any lead in the list to view or update their details — for example, to add a note after a conversation, or to correct a phone number.

    Deleting a lead

Individual leads can be deleted from the list. Deleting a lead removes them permanently from your leads list. It does not affect the person's contact information on their own device.

[NEEDS VERIFICATION: whether leads can be deleted in bulk or only one at a time]

    Enrolling leads in sequences

Leads can be enrolled in email follow-up sequences. A sequence sends a series of automated emails to the lead over a set period — for example, a follow-up the next day, then again a week later.

    To enrol a lead:

  • Open the lead's record in the portal
  • Click Enrol in Sequence (or similar)
  • Choose which sequence to use
  • Confirm
  • [NEEDS VERIFICATION: exact UI labels for enrolling a lead in a sequence]

See [Email Follow-up Sequences](./crm-sequences.md) for full details on how to create and manage sequences.

    Who can access leads?

The leads system is available to all portal users. Each user sees leads associated with their own profile. Company admins may have access to leads across all profiles within the company.

[NEEDS VERIFICATION: whether admins can view all company leads in one combined view, or only per-profile]

    ---

    Frequently asked questions

Are leads shared across my whole company, or kept separate per profile?

Leads are stored per profile. If your company has ten team members, each person's profile has its own leads list. Company admins may be able to see a combined view. [NEEDS VERIFICATION]

Can I see which NFC card or QR code a lead came from?

The source field shows how the lead was captured. If your profile is linked to multiple cards, [NEEDS VERIFICATION: whether the specific card ID or source method is recorded per lead]

Is there a limit to how many leads I can store?

[NEEDS VERIFICATION: whether there is a per-profile or per-plan lead storage limit]

Can I connect my leads to an external CRM like HubSpot or Salesforce?

Currently, the main integration method is exporting your leads as a CSV and importing them into your CRM. [NEEDS VERIFICATION: whether any direct CRM integrations or webhooks are available]

What happens to leads if I cancel my subscription?

[NEEDS VERIFICATION: whether lead data is retained, exported, or deleted if a subscription lapses or is cancelled]

Can I add custom fields to leads?
