Help Center › Quick Actions Bar
The Quick Actions bar is the toolbar at the top of the Visual Template Builder. It gives you fast access to the most common editing operations without having to navigate through menus. This article explains what each action does and how to use the bar effectively.
---
What is the Quick Actions bar?
When you open the Visual Template Builder (accessed via My Card → Customise or the template editing tools), the Quick Actions bar appears as a horizontal strip near the top of the editor. It contains shortcut buttons for actions you are likely to use frequently during an editing session.
The bar is designed to keep your workflow fast — rather than hunting through panels and dropdown menus, the most important controls are always one click away.

Available actions
[NEEDS VERIFICATION: exact actions available in the NFC Tagify Visual Template Builder — the following are based on standard template editor patterns and should be confirmed against the live product]
Undo
Reverts the most recent change you made in the editor. If you accidentally moved a section, changed a colour, or deleted something, Undo brings it back.
-
Keyboard shortcut:
Ctrl + Z(Windows) /Cmd + Z(Mac) - Undo steps are stored for your current editing session. Closing the builder clears the undo history.
Redo
Re-applies an action that was previously undone. Useful if you undid too many steps.
-
Keyboard shortcut:
Ctrl + YorCtrl + Shift + Z(Windows) /Cmd + Shift + Z(Mac)
Preview toggle
Switches the editor between edit mode and preview mode. In preview mode, you see exactly how your card will look to a visitor — without the editing handles, selection outlines, or control panels overlaid on top. Clicking the toggle again returns you to edit mode.
Preview mode is useful for a final check before saving, or for sharing a screenshot of how your card looks.
Save
Saves your current changes. Your profile template is not published to visitors until you click Save (or confirm saving when prompted on exit).
-
Keyboard shortcut:
Ctrl + S(Windows) /Cmd + S(Mac) - A confirmation indicator (e.g. "Saved" message or a brief animation) appears when the save is successful.
- It is good practice to save regularly during long editing sessions.
Assign (company admins only)
The Assign button is visible to company admins and allows you to assign the current template (and your saved customisations) to other members of your company or department, without each person needing to apply it themselves.
Clicking Assign opens a panel where you can:
- Choose to assign to all company members, a specific department, or selected individuals.
- Decide whether individual members can override the template or whether it is locked.

Frequently asked questions
The Quick Actions bar is not visible — where has it gone?
The bar is only visible when the Visual Template Builder is open. If you are on the profile overview page rather than the editor, you will not see it. Click Edit template or the customise icon to open the builder and the bar should appear at the top.
I clicked Save but my changes are not showing on my live profile. What should I check?
After saving in the builder, try refreshing your live profile page. Browser caching can sometimes show an older version for a few seconds. If the issue persists after a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R / Cmd + Shift + R), try saving again and waiting a moment before re-checking.
Can I undo changes after closing the builder?
No. The undo history is session-specific. Once you close the Visual Template Builder (or navigate away), the history is cleared. Any changes that were saved before closing are permanent until you manually change them back.
