Help Center › Managing Profile Links

Links are one of the most useful parts of your NFC Tagify profile. They let visitors tap straight through to your LinkedIn page, call your mobile number, send you a WhatsApp message, or visit your website — all from a single tap of your NFC card. This article explains how to add, edit, reorder, and hide links on your profile.

---

What are profile links?

Profile links are buttons or clickable icons displayed on your digital business card. Each link points to an external destination — a social media profile, a phone number, an email address, or any website URL you choose.

Links are separate from your core profile details (name, photo, job title). They can be added, removed, and reordered at any time without affecting the rest of your profile.

---

Adding a link

  • Log in to the portal and go to My Profile.
  • Scroll to the Links section and click Add link (or the + button).
  • Choose the link type from the list (see supported types below).
  • Enter the URL, phone number, or handle as prompted.
  • Optionally, add a custom label to override the default display name.
  • Click Save.
  • The link appears on your live profile immediately.

Tip: For social media links, you can usually enter just your username or handle — you do not need to paste the full URL. For example, entering johndoe for LinkedIn will resolve to https://linkedin.com/in/johndoe.

    Editing an existing link

  • Go to My Profile → Links.
  • Click the pencil icon next to the link you want to change.
  • Update the URL, handle, or label.
  • Click Save.
  • ---

    Reordering links

The order in which links appear on your profile card can be adjusted at any time.

  • Go to My Profile → Links.
  • Use the drag handle (the grid of dots icon) next to each link to drag it up or down into the order you prefer.
  • Changes are saved automatically when you drop the item.
  • Links are displayed in the order you set them. Put your most important links first — most visitors will only tap the first one or two.

    ---

    Hiding and showing links

You can hide a link without deleting it. This is useful if you want to temporarily remove a link from your card without losing the URL.

  • Go to My Profile → Links.
  • Click the toggle or the eye icon next to the link you want to hide.
  • A hidden link remains saved but does not appear on your public profile.
  • To show it again, click the same toggle.
  • ---

    Deleting a link

  • Go to My Profile → Links.
  • Click the pencil icon next to the link.
  • Click Delete (usually shown as a red button or bin icon) and confirm.
  • Deleting a link is permanent. If you think you might want the link back later, use Hide instead.

    Frequently asked questions

How many links can I add?

There is no strict limit on the number of links. However, profiles with a very large number of links can feel cluttered. We recommend keeping it to the 5–8 most useful ones for the best visitor experience.

Can I add two links of the same type?

Yes. For example, you can add two website links (perhaps one for your company homepage and one for your personal portfolio) or two phone numbers. Use custom labels to make it clear what each one is.

My LinkedIn link is not working — the URL opens but shows the wrong page. What should I check?

Make sure you are using your correct LinkedIn profile URL or username. LinkedIn URLs look like linkedin.com/in/yourname. Avoid copying the URL from a search results page, as that can be a different format.

Can company admins add or change links on my profile?

Yes. Company admins can edit all aspects of a member's profile, including links. If you notice a link has changed that you did not change yourself, check with your company admin.

Will hiding a link affect my NFC card?

Yes — hidden links do not appear on your live profile, so tapping your NFC card will not show them. The card itself does not need to be reprogrammed; the profile page updates automatically.

Can I use emoji or special characters in a custom link label?

Plain text is recommended for labels. Some special characters may not display correctly depending on the template. Emoji are generally supported but may look inconsistent across devices.
