Help Center › QR Templates - Complete Guide
Create fully branded QR codes that link to your digital business card. Customise the dot style, corner shapes, colours, gradients, and centre logo to match your brand exactly — then download in PNG, SVG, or JPEG for print, digital, or screen use.
Key benefits
- On-brand from the start — dozens of style combinations, colours, and gradient options mean your QR code looks like it belongs in your design rather than being an afterthought
- Logo in the centre — place your logo in the middle of the code while keeping it fully scannable
- Reusable styles — save your design once and apply it to every profile in your company with one click
- Every format covered — SVG for sharp print output, PNG for digital, JPEG for lighter files
- Bulk generation — create hundreds of unique QR codes at once via the QR Factory (separate tool)
Who it's for
All NFC Tagify portal users. Company and department admins can save a QR template and apply it across the team for a consistent look on business cards, flyers, and signage.

Dot styles
| Style | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| Square | Classic sharp-cornered dots — maximum compatibility |
| Rounded | Softer corners, modern feel |
| Dots | Circular dots, clean and minimal |
| Classy | Refined square with rounded inner corners |
| Classy Rounded | Softer version of Classy |
| Extra Rounded | Very rounded, contemporary look |
Colours & gradients
- Single colour — any solid colour; ensure enough contrast with the background
- Linear gradient — blends two colours left-to-right or top-to-bottom
- Radial gradient — blends outward from the centre
Corner options
- Corner square type — Square, Extra Rounded, or Dot (the large outer frame)
- Corner dot type — Square or Dot (the small inner square)
- Corner colours can match or contrast with dot colours for a cohesive or bold design
Background
- Solid colour — typically white or a brand colour
- Gradient — two-colour blend for a polished look
- Transparent — ideal for placing the QR on coloured backgrounds without a visible box
Logo / image
- Upload a PNG or SVG; the QR code remains scannable when the logo is kept to 30–50% of the code area
- Circular crop — shows the logo as a circle for a cleaner result
- Hide dots behind logo — removes the dots that would sit behind the logo image for a cleaner result
- Logo size — slider from 10% to 50% of the QR code width
Technical options
| Option | Values | Notes |
|--------|--------|-------|
| Error correction | L / M / Q / H | Higher = more of the code can be obscured (e.g. by a logo) without breaking scanning. H recommended when using a logo. |
| Dimensions | Pixels (width × height) | 300–500 px for digital, 1000+ px for print |
| Margin (quiet zone) | Pixels | Leave at least 4 modules of whitespace for reliable scanning |

Frequently asked questions
Why won't my QR code scan?
The most common causes: insufficient contrast between dots and background, a logo covering too much of the code, or not enough quiet zone (margin). Increase error correction to H, reduce logo size below 40%, and ensure a white or very light background.
Which format should I download?
- SVG — vector format, stays sharp at any size; best for print and design work
- PNG — raster format with transparency support; good for digital use
- JPEG — smaller file size, no transparency; fine for web images that don't need a transparent background
Can I use the same QR style for multiple profiles?
Yes — save the style, then load it on each profile's QR settings. For large teams, use the QR Factory to generate hundreds of consistently styled codes at once.
How do I put my exact brand hex colour in?
In the colour picker, there is a hex code input field — type or paste your exact brand hex (e.g. #1A2B3C).
Is there a cost to use the QR designer?
The QR code designer is included in all NFC Tagify plans at no extra charge.
