Help Center › Reseller Template Library
Overview
The Reseller Template Library lets you create profile layouts, QR code designs, and business card templates that you can distribute to your client companies. Instead of each client company starting from scratch, they can pick from the templates you have prepared and apply them with a single click.
Templates follow an inheritance model — changes you make at the reseller level flow down to companies and can be further customised at each level.
---
What the Template Library Is
The template library is a collection of reusable design assets managed from the Reseller Portal. It covers three types of templates:
- Profile templates — define the layout, colours, fonts, and sections shown on a public-facing digital business card.
- QR code templates — define the style and branding of QR codes generated for each profile.
- Business card templates — define the layout of printable or on-screen business card designs.
Templates you publish to the library become available to all client companies under your reseller account, or to specific companies if you choose to restrict visibility.

Creating Templates in the Reseller Portal
Accessing the Template Editor
The template editor provides a visual canvas with a properties panel. Changes are previewed in real time.
Building a Profile Template
Profile templates control the visual appearance of your clients' public profiles. In the editor you can set:
- Layout — choose from available layout options (single-column, split, header-focused, etc.)
- Colours — primary and secondary colours, background, text colours
- Typography — font family and size for name, title, and body text
- Sections — which contact sections appear (phone, email, social links, custom links, bio, etc.) and in what order
- CSS overrides — advanced users can apply custom CSS for fine-grained control [NEEDS VERIFICATION: whether CSS overrides are available at reseller template level]
Saving and Publishing
When you are satisfied with the template, give it a clear, descriptive name (your clients will see this name when choosing a template). Click Save to save a draft, or Publish to make it available in the library.
Unpublished (draft) templates are visible only to reseller admins. Published templates are available to client companies according to the visibility settings you configure.

Making Templates Available to Clients
Visibility Settings
When you publish a template, you can control which companies can see and use it:
- All companies — available to every client company under your reseller account.
- Specific companies — visible only to the companies you select. Useful for bespoke templates created for a particular client.
To change visibility after publishing, open the template, go to Settings, and update the Available to field.
How Clients Select a Template
Client company admins see the templates you have made available in their own template picker (under Branding → Templates or similar [NEEDS VERIFICATION: exact path in company admin view]). They can preview templates and apply one as their default.
---
Overriding Company Templates
If you want to enforce a specific template across all companies — for example, to maintain consistent branding for your white-label product — you can mark a template as locked or default:
- Default template — applied to any new company that has not yet chosen a template. Companies can override it.
- Locked template — companies cannot change away from this template. Use with caution, as it removes company-level design flexibility.

Template Inheritance Rules
Templates in NFC Tagify follow a four-level inheritance chain:
`
Reseller → Company → Department → Profile
`
Each level inherits from the level above and can override specific settings. The rules are:
If no override is set at a given level, that level inherits from the one above. This means a reseller template can effectively define the look of every profile on the platform unless a company, department, or individual explicitly overrides it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I delete a template that companies are currently using?
You can unpublish or delete a template, but doing so may cause companies using it to revert to a fallback template. It is good practice to create a replacement template and migrate companies to it before removing an old one.
Can a company admin create their own templates?
Yes. Company admins can create templates within their own company that apply to departments and profiles in that company. These templates are not visible to other companies or to you as the reseller unless you are accessing the company as an admin.
Can I copy a template from one company and promote it to the reseller library?
[NEEDS VERIFICATION: whether template promotion from company to reseller level is supported]
Do template changes apply retroactively?
If a profile is using a template and the template is updated, the profile will reflect the changes the next time it is loaded, as long as the profile has not applied any individual overrides that conflict with the changed settings.
