Help Center › Sharing Your Contact
There are several ways to share your NFC Tagify digital business card with someone. Choose the method that fits the situation — tapping an NFC card, showing a QR code, sending a link, or adding your card to a digital wallet.
4 ways to share your contact
1. NFC tap
If you have a physical NFC Tagify card, hold it near the back of the other person's phone. Their phone will vibrate or beep and a notification will appear — tapping it opens your profile directly in their browser.
Works on: iPhone 7 or later (no app needed), Android phones with NFC enabled. See [what happens when someone taps your card](/help/nfc-tap) for more detail.
2. QR code
Open your profile in the portal and navigate to your QR code. Show it on screen for the other person to scan, or download it to print on materials.
- Every profile has a unique QR code
- The QR code opens your live profile — changes are always reflected
- You can [customise the QR code's appearance](/help/qr-templates) to match your brand
3. Profile link
Your profile has a permanent URL (e.g. id.nfctagify.com/?id=your-id or your custom domain URL if one is set). Copy and paste it to share by email, message, LinkedIn, or any other channel.
To find your profile link:
4. Wallet pass
Add your profile to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet as a contact pass. The person with your pass can tap it at any time to open your live profile.
See the [Wallet Pass Generator guide](/help/wallet-templates) for setup instructions.
What the recipient sees
When someone opens your profile link — by any method — they see your public digital business card. This includes:
- Your name, photo, and job title
- Contact buttons (tap to call, email, or message)
- Social and website links
- An Add to Contacts button that downloads your contact as a vCard
They don't need an NFC Tagify account to view your card or save your contact.
Saving your contact to a phone
The recipient can save your contact by:
.vcf file (vCard) which installs your contact details directly into their phone's contacts appTips
- Update your profile, not your link — your profile URL stays the same even when your details change, so anything you've shared continues to work
- NFC tap is the fastest method — no screen-sharing or link-copying needed
- QR code on print materials — print your QR code on a business card, badge, or flyer for passive sharing at events
Frequently asked questions
Does the recipient need an NFC Tagify account?
No. Anyone can view your profile, tap a QR code, or save your contact without signing up.
Can I see who has viewed my profile?
Yes. Go to Portal → Analytics to see profile view counts and link click data. Individual visitor identities are not tracked.
What if I change jobs or update my details?
Update your profile in the portal. The changes appear immediately — anyone who opens your link or taps your NFC card will see the updated version.
Can I share a specific team's card rather than my personal one?
Yes. Teams and companies each have their own profile page with a shareable link and QR code.
