NFC Tagify comes with a library of professionally designed templates that you can apply to your digital business card in seconds. This article explains what system templates are, how to browse the gallery, and how to apply and customise a template.

What are system templates?
System templates are pre-designed digital business card layouts provided by NFC Tagify. Each template defines how your profile information is arranged and displayed — the layout of your name, photo, contact details, links, and branding colours.
System templates are designed to look great out of the box. They pull in your profile data automatically, so once you choose a template, it immediately shows your real name, photo, job title, and links. You do not need to re-enter any information.
System templates differ from custom templates in that they are created and maintained by NFC Tagify, not by you or your company admin. They are available to all users regardless of plan.

Browsing the gallery
The gallery shows the template populated with placeholder content so you can judge how the layout looks. A Preview with my profile option (if available) shows the template with your actual profile data filled in.

Applying a template to your profile
Once you have found a template you like:
Note: If you have made customisations to your current template (colours, fonts, section visibility), those customisations will be replaced by the new template's defaults. Save a note of any changes you want to recreate before switching.

Customising after applying
After applying a system template, you can make further adjustments:
- Colours and fonts — Go to My Card → Customise (or the paint brush icon) to adjust the colour scheme and typography. Changes here layer on top of the template.
- Section visibility — You can show or hide sections (such as your bio, links, or social icons) using the section toggles in the template builder.
- Layout options — Some templates offer layout variants (e.g. a centred vs. left-aligned header). These appear as options within the template settings.
Customisations made at the profile level apply only to your own card. If a company admin later assigns a different template to your profile, your individual customisations will be overridden.

Company admins: assigning templates to multiple members
If you are a company admin, you can assign a system template to all members of your company (or a specific department) in one action:
This applies the template to all members in scope. Individual members can still customise colours and visible sections within the boundaries of that template, unless customisation is locked at the company level.

Frequently asked questions
Will switching templates delete my profile information?
No. Your profile data — name, photo, job title, bio, links — is stored separately from the template. Switching templates changes the layout and visual style, but your content remains intact and will appear in the new template immediately.
Can I go back to a previous template?
Yes. Open the gallery at any time and apply any template, including one you used previously. Each application is non-destructive to your profile data.
I applied a template but it doesn't look like the preview. Why?
The preview uses placeholder content. Your template may look slightly different with your real profile data — for example, a long job title may wrap differently, or a short bio might leave more white space. You can adjust visible sections and font size options in Customise to fine-tune the appearance.
