Help Center › vCard Download

Overview

A vCard (.vcf) file lets visitors save your contact to their phone or address book. Your profile page includes an "Add to Contacts" or "Download vCard" button. When clicked, it generates and downloads a vCard with your name, contact details, and photo.

How It Works

The vCard is generated from your profile data when someone requests it. It uses a hierarchical fallback:

  • Profile — Your profile's name, contact, photo, and links.
  • Team — If a field is empty on the profile, the team (department) value is used.
  • Company — If still empty, the company value is used.

For example, if your profile has no photo but your company has a logo, the vCard may use the company logo. This keeps shared branding consistent.

What's Included

The vCard typically includes:

  • Full name
  • Job title
  • Company
  • Email (work, personal)
  • Phone (work, mobile)
  • Website
  • Address
  • Photo (if available)

Image Handling

Your profile photo is included when possible. If the image is too large, it is resized to fit vCard limits (typically 400x400 pixels, JPEG) so it can be stored in the contact.

File Name

The downloaded file is named with your first and last name (e.g. John_Doe.vcf). If no name is available, it defaults to contact.vcf.

Where the Button Appears

The "Add to Contacts" or vCard download button appears on your public profile. It is often part of the Call to Action (CTA) section in your template. If you use the Template Visual Builder, the CTA section with "Add to Contacts" triggers the vCard download.
